Meet Shawna Allard

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Shawna Allard a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Shawna, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

The process started when I was nine, and I realized that my psychic medium talent was unique. When my psychic abilities became fully activated, I shared my insights with my closest friends and family members, asking for their feedback on the value each person experienced. After a year, it was clear that the information coming through me was accurate and of great help to others. Over three decades later, I am still working as an intuitive psychic with the Divine Guidance that manifests through me and helps others on their journey toward a fulfilling life.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I was born with psychic abilities and wasn’t aware that I was gifted with a unique talent until I was nine, when I found that my talent was not something everyone possessed.
My gift of psychic mediumship fully developed in my mid-thirties., but juggling single motherhood, a full-time job as an accountant, and my calling as a psychic medium was extremely difficult. One day, when I was praying, I experienced a life-changing vision, so I took a massive leap of faith, quitting my job for the unknown of self-employment and relying only on my psychic abilities.

Following my calling, I founded the Divine Knowing Institute, where I teach classes to educate as many people as possible about how to develop and use their intuition. I’m the author of three books and offer guidance to others as a psychic medium and intuitive life coach.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

My journey of becoming an accomplished psychic medium, life coach, author, and public speaker involved faith, resilience, and intuition. Also, due to my interest in advancing my knowledge, I have obtained degrees in clinical hypnotherapy, Reiki, Feng Shui, and past life regression. I believe resilience, intuition, or any other skill we have can be developed only with practice.
My advice for those starting their journey is to pursue their dreams by following their intuition, their gut feeling and use their already-developed skills to make those dreams come true.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

When I discovered that my intuitive talent was not something everyone possessed, it made me feel uncomfortable. I felt somewhat different, and my mom’s wise and compassionate advice helped me through this phase. She told me that my psychic abilities are a natural part of life. Her advice was: “Use your gift, and it will strengthen, just like any muscle in your body. Neglect it and it will atrophy.”
