Meet Aarahm Pirouzbakht

We were lucky to catch up with Aarahm Pirouzbakht recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Aarahm with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I would definitely say my work ethic derives from my parents. However, more I think it was circumstancial. Growing up my dad worked on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico, sometimes being gone weeks on end. You tend to grow up fast, and acquire traits that are necessary to survive and also flourish. Looking back “work” was always there, so it always gave back. So just like that I knew the value of work ethic and always operating at your best. My work ethic has made piercing my most fruitful relationship.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
In order to learn more about me first you have to know who I am. My name is Aarahm Pirouzbakht. Persian decent born in New Orleans to humble beginnings with the best brother & parents ever. I guess like LOVE, they say it comes when you’re not looking for it. My PASSION found me, in Body Piercings. It wasn’t long after my passion found me that I knew it was my PURPOSE. When I first started piercing 16+ yrs ago it wasn’t lucrative at all. So I would pursue my passion by day and work at many of Atlanta’s Strip clubs at night (not as a stripper lol). Small price for doing what I love. After 16+ yrs of honing my craft and immense knowledge I decided to reaffirm my love for piercing and create my own LLC/Brand “Bevel Atl”. The most special part of all of this is YOU! Thank you being a part of this journey with me for the last 16+ yrs. It is a very scary chapter, though most dreams that live among the stars are.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
They’re are several qualities that have impacted my journey not only in this industry but in life. I hate to be that guy but couple of these qualities can be touched on in one of my favorite quotes by Denzel Washington, “without commitment you’ll never start, but more importantly without consistency you’ll never finish.” Last for me is Gratitude, which is always a great attitude to carry yourself in. Be grateful, be humble, be thankful. Understand the purpose of what this craft has given me, and has created an everlasting fire to give back to her!

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Throughout my journey as a Body Piercer their have been 3 influential people that have such for me to be on this path of success. First would be Alex Guma, as he presented this love to me and apprenticed me to give me the necessary tools and knowledge of being a body piercer. Second, is Chris Steele as he reshaped my love for this craft and allowed me to grow and evolve within the industry. He once told me that 1 out of every 20 ppl that call themselves piercers deserve to be one & are one. Eight yrs into my career I did a masters apprenticeship with Chris Steele and it was icing on the cake that at the end of my Master’s Apprenticeship he said I am one. Third would be Elliott Holland as he rejuvenated my love for this craft and continues to keep me on my toes and gives me all the sauce & secrets I still have yet to learn. Thank you.
