Edgar Gonzalez on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Edgar Gonzalez shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Edgar , so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
It’s funny how people think there’s some secret agenda behind every topic or subject we cover. In reality, it’s pretty simple—I usually come into the office with two or three story ideas, discuss them with producers during our editorial meeting, and the most relevant and strongest one moves forward.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Im Journalist and a Reporter for Univision and host of the Podcast “TRENDING inicios”. Born and raised in Mexico, lived most of my life in Los Angeles CA. Currently living in Las Vegas

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
Being on stage, facing a crowd, has always been a source of strength and empowerment for me.

When did you last change your mind about something important?
Oh my God—constantly. (Laughs) “A wise man changes his mind; a fool never will.”

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Well, I guess that depends on who you ask. I believe we all wear different hats through out life. It’s important to stay true to yourself and never lose your individuality. One can only hope that people relate to the work you put out and that it speaks for itself—representing not only who you are, but also the person you aspire to become.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If immortality were real, what would you build?
Immortality is a fallacy…
