Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jenny Heinzen. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jenny, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
I learned to stop treating the feeling as a red flag and start treating it as a green light. If I feel it, I know I’m pushing into something meaningful. Take the meeting, take the stage, take the seat. You’ll grow into it faster than you think.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m a vineyard and winery broker and the founder of Vineyard Professional Real Estate, a luxury brokerage based in Paso Robles, CA. I lead a team of five licensed agents, and together we represent buyers and sellers of vineyard estates, commercial wineries, luxury estates and agricultural assets.
What excites me most about this work is that vineyard real estate lives at the intersection of land, business, and legacy. These properties are rarely just transactions—they’re often generational investments and deeply personal decisions. With more than $434 million in vineyard- and winery-related sales and over 50 vineyard transactions completed statewide, I bring both agricultural expertise and high-level transactional experience to every deal.
I built Vineyard Professional Real Estate to bridge the gap between farming knowledge and luxury real estate execution. Our team is highly credentialed, collaborative, and deeply local, allowing us to handle complex, high-value transactions with discretion and care. We’ve been featured in publications such as *Bloomberg* and *Wine Business Monthly*, but our greatest measure of success is the long-term trust we build with clients.
My background shapes everything I do. I was raised in a real estate investment family on California’s Central Coast, earned a Master’s degree in Agriculture from Cal Poly, and later a Master’s degree in Wine Business from the University of Adelaide in Australia. After more than a decade specializing in vineyard and winery sales in Napa Valley, I returned to Paso Robles to establish my own brokerage and continue investing in the region I call home. My husband and I also own local vineyards, making this work both professional and personal.
Right now, I’m focused on thoughtfully growing our team, expanding opportunities for clients across California wine country, and continuing to elevate how vineyard and winery assets are positioned and sold—while mentoring the next generation, particularly women, entering this space.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three things have mattered most in my journey: deep expertise, trusted relationships, and resilience. Taking the time to truly understand the business behind the work—not just the surface—created credibility and better outcomes over the long term. Building relationships with integrity and consistency opened doors that no shortcut ever could, and protecting my reputation has always been a priority. Finally, being willing to move forward before feeling fully ready made the biggest difference—confidence came after action, not before. For anyone early in their journey, my advice is to invest in knowledge, play the long game with people, and don’t wait to feel comfortable before taking the next step.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
Without question, my dad was the person who most shaped my path. He was my biggest champion and supporter, and he had a strong belief in education, preparation, and playing the long game. He taught me that real success isn’t about shortcuts—it’s about showing up consistently, investing in yourself, and thinking ahead. Even when things felt uncertain, he encouraged me to focus on building skills and knowledge that would compound over time. That mindset has guided nearly every major decision I’ve made, and it continues to influence how I lead, work, and grow.
