Meet Arik Sparano

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Arik Sparano a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Arik, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I build my skills and self-confidence by engaging with diverse audiences and exploring new techniques, taking on various photography assignments. From the moment I started my photography journey, I’ve been learning something new every day while working with different audiences and categories of photos.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am particularly passionate about studio portrait photography, as it allows me to establish a personal connection with my clients, especially models and actors. This relationship fosters creativity, enabling me to experiment with poses and lighting in innovative ways.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Probably all the skills and foundation I learned in at Gwinnett Technical College, I would say do not compare your work with others and stay outside your comfort zone in order to grow in any business

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

These days taking classes with John at ShutterObi learning and taking on new challenges helps me move forward as a photographer
