Meet Catie Brown-Busch

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Catie Brown-Busch. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Catie, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

We all have an origin story. Sometimes that story is inspiring and sometimes it seems like life is trying to set us up for failure. Mine started at an early age when my biological father decided that he did not want me. Knowing that inside of you is a hard thing to overcome, the voices always asking “what is wrong with me?”. However, at the age of three I was adopted and brought into a family that still holds me close today. Maybe that was the fist sign that a disappointing start can lead to a positive outcome.
Through my life there have been several hard experiences that have led to more positive outcomes. I think that knowing there is a deeper reason for occurrences and keeping in a mindset that you have the ability to learn from experiences and create a better outcome in the future is key.
I suffered from a traumatic health condition that led me to revaluating my career path and leaving my position. I decided to take a deep dive into the “why” behind the diagnosis and researching how to help others prevent this from happening to them. I was able to combine my experience and expertise as a fitness coach to form my own business, LVP Fitness. I worked hard to become a certified Personal Trainer and Certified Nutritionist. I took my “setback” and used that to create a path that would help me help others in their journey and creating positive outcomes in the lives of others.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am the founder and head trainer of LVP Fitness, where I focus on helping clients achieve lasting results through a holistic approach built on Longevity, Vitality, and Performance. With over a decade of experience in the fitness and wellness industry, I use my combination of expertise in training, nutrition, and lifestyle optimization to help people move better, feel stronger, and live healthier at every stage of life.

A lifelong athlete, I had a strong passion for health beginning at an early age. After playing soccer for more than 20 years and discovering my love for strength training in high school, I carried that drive into the United States Marine Corps, where discipline, grit, and perseverance became part of my foundation in all things I would pursue in life.

Following my time in service, I spent years in marketing and organizational leadership, eventually serving as Chief Operating Officer for a nationally recognized fitness company. There, I had the opportunity to work closely with elite athletes and industry experts, refining her knowledge of performance-based training and program design. All while establishing a strong business acumen that would help me be successful as a business owner.

After facing personal health challenges that reshaped my understanding and approach to overall wellness, I immersed herself in studying nutrition, hormone balance, and functional health—leading to the creation of a coaching philosophy that looks at the whole person, not just their workouts.

Today, through LVP Fitness, I have the opportunity to work with clients ranging from youth athletes to adults navigating major life transitions, helping them build sustainable habits, restore balance, and perform at their best. As a certified Menopause Coach, she also specializes in helping women thrive through hormonal changes with confidence and vitality.

My mission is simple: to empower people to take control of their health, build resilience from the inside out, and live a long, vibrant, and high-performing life. I also want to make sure that this is accessible to all who need it and the barriers to obtaining assistance are removed.

In the online environment we live in, it was apparent that the way to be able to make the largest impact with those who are needing guidance was to create an app. In 2025 I launched the LVP Fitness app, available in the Apple and Google stores. This app allows a global client base to access a variety of subscription programming based on their goals and equipment available, 1:1 coaching with myself (and additional coaches coming in the future), Nutritional guidance and access to published nutrition materials. All inside the app.
In 2026 I will be launching new programming options, including programs focused on bodyweight movements, limited equipment, sports focused training and fat loss challenges.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The learning curve to get me where I am today was not an easy one. The ability to see challenges or setbacks as learning experiences and opportunities to recreate something to be more successful is key. If you truly want to be successful you have to learn to be resilient.
I have been so lucky to have had the opportunity to work alongside people who are knowledgeable and driven. I always ask questions and try to absorb as much knowledge as I can from those that are smarter than I am in different areas. Being humble enough to always be in a learning mindset is key to gaining knowledge. Always surround yourself with people that are interested in creating a collaborative working environment.
Always be welcoming and kind. I have worked with thousands of different business owners and organizations throughout my career. Not all of them always led to partnerships or collaborations, but I always left the relationship with an open line of communication and being grateful for the connection. I have had so many people re-establish connections years later and mention to me how appreciative they were that I always made them feel welcome and appreciated, even when they told me “no”. Meeting people where they are and being genuine about appreciating where they are in their journey will always make you approachable in the future.

Do you think it’s better to go all in on our strengths or to try to be more well-rounded by investing effort on improving areas you aren’t as strong in?

I’m a big believer in focusing on what you’re great at. It’s way more effective to really dig in and become an expert at those things. Instead of trying to be good at everything, you become an expert and that makes you more confident and helps you come up with new ideas.
I picked up a saying that I share often ” A whole ass half is better than a half assed whole”. Meaning that you can focus on doing your specific skills to the best of your ability instead of spreading yourself thin and doing a bunch of projects with less impressive outcomes.
The way to make sure you have the best outcomes in all areas is to create a team that fills in the gaps. Intentionally seek out and surround yourself that are talented in the areas that you are weakest. When everyone is able to focus on areas where they are SMEs and find fulfillment you will have the best over all outcomes.
