Meet Kevin Dibia

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kevin Dibia. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Kevin with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I get my work ethic from a combination of a few things. My father, my journey and my purpose. Growing up my father was the hardest working person I know. Growing up in New York, I actually didn’t really know much about him besides that but I always respected his hustle.

As I got older I realized that life circumstances were always putting me in positions to lead whether it be having to be the head of the family and take lead financially, giving knowledge to friends & family so they can grow or leading teams at work or in my real estate profession. Just being in a leadership position consistently forced me to grind. It always put me in places where I’m working more for just myself

Last is my purpose. Real Estate. When people say find something you love and you will never work a day in your life. I never understood that until I became a Realtor/Investor. After seeing what real estate did for me I was compelled to share my love for it with others through my actions which is working as hard as I can for my clients and teaching them the power that real estate can have. My father, my journey and my purpose have been the 3 major gems in my life that keep me focused, grounded and always working hard

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a seasoned Real Estate Professional based in Texas. My passion for helping people began early on and by the age of 23, I purchased his very first home and haven’t looked back ever since. Throughout the span of the past 3 and a half years, I have garnered extensive hands-on expertise in the Real Estate industry. In my career thus far I’ve received some of the following accolades:

• PropertySpark Top 10 agent on social media (2 years running)
• Seen on KXAN_News
• Real Estate Article on VoyageAustin Magazine
• Homesnap 2021 Most Prominent Agent Award Winner

My next initiative that’s launching soon is the new team I am started called The ViewFinders Collective under a new brokerage. I plan on comprising some of the most hard working agents (which is the type of agents I am looking for) in all areas of Texas to be able to extend my reach to clients not just in the Austin area.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The first thing I believe was most impactful to my journey was simply getting in the gym and staying consistent with it. Although it doesn’t have much to do with real estate, the confidence and discipline that is built in the gym gave me confidence to excel in other areas. People don’t realize how powerful it is to be happy with that you see in the mirror.

The second thing was the development of the mindset. I started absorbing more uplifting and forward thinking content that had to do with my craft and just getting better everyday. Started listening to more podcast instead of music. Spending more time learning and reading instead of partying every weekend.

Last thing I did was begin to surround myself with like-minded people to help me and keep me accountable with the first to items above. I realized in life the most successful people always have a team of close individuals they feed off of for their continued growth. I’ve started to create a circle similar to that of my own and it’s helped me shine light on others to make them better as well

We’ve all got limited resources, time, energy, focus etc – so if you had to choose between going all in on your strengths or working on areas where you aren’t as strong, what would you choose?
Personally for me it’s best to be as good as you can be at your craft first before expanding into other areas. I can attest to this because when I first started my real estate journey I had other endeavors as well I was pursuing (modeling, having a podcast) and trying to grow all 3 of those from the ground up was difficult. I decided later that I was going to be in put my efforts in becoming the best realtor I can be.

With just 3 and a half years of work me being a top agent has led me to get some modeling/brand ambassador gigs just from being well known on social media (Express suits was the gig that accepted me)

I say this to say the goal should be to be very well rounded in other avenues and you should do that in being elite in one area first and then expanding. Similar to how a tree grows
