Meet Diane Boden

We recently connected with Diane Boden and have shared our conversation below.

Diane, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
At a foundational level, I believe my confidence and self-esteem developed at a young age. My parents gave me opportunities in which I could explore my independence: being dropped at a local art class, navigating the hallways by myself; establishing a “babysitters club”; going door-to-door selling magazines or girl scout cookies; going to movies by myself in the early teen years. All of these things are simple but lead to a confidence of being alone, taking risks and knowing I was capable.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My name is Diane Boden and I’m the creator and host of the Minimalist Moms Podcast. I’m always focused on expanding the podcast with new listeners; however, I’m currently focused on speaking to entrepreneurs that desire to clear the ‘mental’ clutter (as well as the physical clutter) so that they may lead a more intentional, focused life.

The Minimalist Moms podcast is special to me because it originally began as a creative project yet has turned into a passionate career.

My first book, Minimalist Moms: Living and Parenting with Simplicity, has also been an unexpected opportunity that I was thrilled to release to moms (and women) beginning their pursuits of minimalism.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Perseverance. Risk. Confidence.

My advice to creators beginning their own creative endeavorers. Consistency is key. I maintained a consistent presence on social media, delivering quality content to my followers. My thought is this: When I ask for your precious time to peruse my post, my aim is to provide you with valuable information that os worthy of that minute or so I have your attention. Upholding the caliber and worth of your content is paramount. Additionally, take a moment to analyze your insights and identify your standout content. No need to invest in an extensive insight report – simply observe which posts are performing exceptionally well.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m always looking for people to partner with. The core of my podcast revolves around interviews. I take pleasure in delving into the lives of those who prioritize intention, embrace simplicity, or embody minimalism. With a repertoire spanning over three hundred episodes, the scope of content has expanded, yet I consistently circle back to the themes of simplicity, intentionality, and minimalism, naturally.
