Meet Jackie Diego

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jackie Diego . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jackie below.

Hi Jackie, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
One thing I have no doubts about is that my work ethic comes from my father. As a business man I have learned so much from him and till this day he inspires me to reach all of my goals. Definitely my biggest inspiration!!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a local florist in the Kyle texas area. As many of you may or may not know Kyle has grown immensely over the last few years. My love for flowers was always there but It wasn’t until I took a floral course in high school where I knew it was what I was truly passionate about. In 2020 I decided to take that leap of faith and I started my small business. I recently started branching out more to weddings. Ideally my dream is to become a wedding florists Also!I am now on “the knot” as well as “wedding wire” for your wedding floral needs! Another exciting thing! I have Collaborated with another small growing business called “Our Dream Proposal” In the Austin area making your dream marriage proposal come true!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I think that believing in yourself or self confidence is far the most important quality you can have. If you truly set your mind to whatever it is you desire to achieve it CAN happen. A good support system is just as important but it all starts with YOU. Looking back, I am glad I decided to take that floral course and get my floral certification because it taught me a lot. There’s really so much more to flowers than you’d think!

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
For sure, without a doubt, my family and fiancé. They have helped me out taking/delivering orders. Setting up weddings and much more. If it wasn’t for them I know I would not be able to handle this on my own.
