Meet Maya Davis

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Maya Davis a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Maya, so happy to have you with us today. You are such a creative person, but have you ever head any sort of creativity block along the way? If so, can you talk to us about how you overcame or beat it?
This is something I’m struggling with right now. Something that helps me is taking short breaks and forcing myself to get back into it before I hit the slump. Normally, I’ll take time to do something else I enjoy like working out, traveling, or spending time with family. By the time I come back, I’m ready to work again.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I create content for my food blog via TikTok and Instagram. The most exciting and rewarding thing is when people tell me that they went to a restaurant I suggested/posted and love it. I am about to start reels which will be something fun to add in to content.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Confidence, resiliency, and ambition. Even if one person sees your work or your content, that’s one more person you’re impacting. Keep posting no matter who you think sees it, because it could be more than you ever imagined. Remain confident in your product despite what the engagement looks like.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I would love to collaborate. Restaurants, Foodie Friends, Yelp Elite, etc.
