Hi Mike, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?
The importance and effectiveness of my self-care have been monumental. Beginning with the simple goal of living pain-free after experiencing multiple debilitating injuries and subsequent surgeries, self-care has propelled my life to an overwhelmingly purposeful existence by opening the door to anatomical education and body alignment management with the ultimate goal of helping others achieve their best quality of life.

Self-care for my mind, body, and spirit begins with a positive and productive attitude. Regardless of the circumstances, attitude is the igniting force that sets the optimum plan for my day in motion. My positive attitude is secured through daily affirmations, meditation, and gratitude for the gift of life. My next step is to hydrate and feed my body with high-quality nutrients. Once that is accomplished, I follow a set of exercises focusing on joint alignment, muscle flexibility, and strength.

My self-care morning management routine empowers my mind and maintains my body. It may seem like a simple daily recipe for achieving impactful effectiveness in attaining goals; however, the power of a symbiotic mind/body relationship is the engine that has transported my life toward reaching my ultimate potential and helping me assist others in achieving their goals.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I was an athlete my entire life. By 14 years old, I was skateboarding competitively: surfing, playing baseball, boxing, running track and field, and even break dancing. My aspiration was a life geared toward professional athleticism and ultimate physical well-being.

As fate would have it, it was not meant to be. Instead, after multiple surgeries, a plethora of medical interventions and medications, followed by huge amounts of medical bills and then a year of being unable to sit due to excruciating sciatic pain in my lower back and leg, my only goal was to live without pain. Instead of succumbing to defeat, I battled for personal empowerment over my mind and body. This was when I had a life-saving revelation: I was not born with pain; my childhood was relatively pain-free (except when I crashed into things). Therefore, if I could realign my joints and strengthen my muscles through repeated corrective exercises, muscular stretches, and diaphragmatic breathing, perhaps I could restore my anatomical alignment and get my body back to its original design. I knew I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. My goal was pure and simple: live my life without pain.

The most significant difficulty was moving away, in thought and action, from my dependence upon Western medicine and medical doctors to fix me. To achieve movement without pain, I began educating myself on which foods stimulated an inflammatory response and eliminated them from my diet. I researched anatomy and learned what the optimum blueprint of the human body should look like. On and on, I researched the best practices for recovering and maintaining healthy movement patterns. I began implementing simple routines of extended slow, easy, gentle corrective exercises and stretches. I used pain as my guide to gently coax my body into positions. If I felt pain, I stopped to avoid any inflammatory response.

I became a Certified Postural Alignment Specialist and over time, and with diligence and consistency with my posture exercises, I obtained joint realignment and restored my functional movement patterns.

Having achieved personal success, I began to think of the multitudes of people who experience daily pain from misaligned joints, weak muscles, and incorrect posture. From the dentists who lean over patients every day, the mothers whose babies are constantly perched on their hips, to the hunched-back computer workers, and thousands of men, women, and teenagers whose heads are dropped forward and down looking at their cell phones, there are so many people developing misaligned posture.

What could be more exciting than empowering others to transform their bodies with healthy functional movement toward a pain-free life?

That’s when I developed my Posture App and related Posture Strong tools. I knew that when used together, with consistency and determination, the goal of taking control of one’s body and directing it towards optimum physical well-being could be reachable for so many people.

Presently, I am thrilled to report that thousands of people have obtained my Posture Strong tools and Posture App and follow me on YouTube, Tik Tok, Instagram, and FaceBook where I conduct live sessions and provide free education so that followers have the opportunity to ask questions and engage with others who may be experiencing the same issues in their lives.

Today, my Posture App and Posture Strong products have become life changers for people who are in chronic pain. I am overjoyed that young and old people are beginning to realize the importance and power of proper posture to achieve the greatest quality of life.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Transformational success became a reality when I took charge of my life’s path by partnering a positive mindset with productive research and developing and following my personal posture alignment therapy program. A program that clearly and methodically demonstrated, step by step, day by day, and week by week, how to achieve the results I desired. My internal motivation, research-based program, and unwavering perseverance transformed my life. Not only am I living pain-free, I acquired a profession that allows me to professionally help others in a way that I could never have imagined. My life is not the vision I aspired to as a kid when I had dreams of becoming a professional athlete, but it’s a life free from pain and instrumental in helping others achieve the same. This, for me, is my present and future goal.

The best advice I can offer is to:

First, believe in the power of posture as the foundation to transform one’s body for living life to its fullest.

Second, acquire a personalized posture plan, Posture Strong tools, and Posture Program support.

Third, be consistent and dedicated to daily Posture exercises.
