Seth, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
After twenty-plus years working in the music industry, it has become a daily choice to keep my creativity alive and flourishing. The simple act of developing and sticking to a routine is essential. Instead of waiting for inspiration to strike, I have always found a way to be inspired by daily events. The actual key to keeping creativity alive is simply being able to create anywhere at any time. No matter what I am doing or going through I am constantly creating or at least brainstorming what I am about to create.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
One of the things that set Seth “Digital Crates” Barmash apart from other music personalities is his ability to blend his love of music with his sense of humor. The love and passion for creating music is always first but to love life and see the beauty in the everyday routine is the main skill to finding inspiration and creating art.
Gaining knowledge is an important skill set as well. A lot of musicians have a narrow-minded focus. Seth “Digital Crates” Barmash musical vision has always been well-rounded and full of important musical knowledge of all genres and eras of music creation.
Love and Knowledge won’t “work” without dedication. To keep creating over a period of twenty-plus years takes sacrifice and true dedication to creating art.
The best advice for younger artists to develop these skills is to “fail forward”. Trying and doing is better than plotting and procrastinating. Get to IT!!!!!
What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
