Meet Shontell Milford

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Shontell Milford . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Shontell below.

Hi Shontell, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
Growing up I’ve always been a Confident girl – from having a high self- esteem ,self confidence , high confident in any task thrown my way , etc. & Naysayers never really bothered me. But “Business Confidence” is totally different from self confidence & I definitely seemed to suffer with it for a long time. From lacking in promoting myself , suffering from Slower Months in sales , Attempting to finish up my Senior Year of College, etc – Definitely put a toll on my confidence as a business owner .

But , if I would pin point one experience in my life that put me in a whole different mindset would be the Death of my Brother back in February . Despite it being one of the most devastating events of my life & My entire life changed for the absolute worst with him being gone. I would definitely say His is death has put a different type of drive in me.

With losing his life at only 18 -years old ; missing out on so much in life. I feel the drive of going harder in all my business & life goals! Everything I do from that day I feel like I’m doing not only for me but, for him as well !

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Tellys’ : The Brand formally known as Telly’s Traphouse Collection is a Cosmetic line: With all length eyelashes, lip gloss, jewelry items & More ! TTC is currently in the process of a MAJOR revamp ! Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Patience ; Without having patience with your brand , & ideas. You will one; never actually giving your all when presenting your brand & two you will be easily motivated to give up! Just because all months aren’t the best on sale you must keep going ; find something else that works to help reach your set goals.

2. Business Confidence ; You have to be yourself Biggest cheerleader ! Personally, although my brand would be considered a “small” business – I never title it as so.

3. Procrastination ; Will be the DEATH of any business. – & if you haven’t started your business it’s most likely due to your procrastination or, your too worried about the next person whose already selling what you have in mind. Which doesn’t matter because that where you need to put on your thinking cap & figure out how you’re going to make sure you stand out from all the others.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
The biggest challenge in my life would be actually grieving & processing my brothers death- But as I already stated I have a whole different drive, motivation , & fire in me to ensure nothing but, GREATNESS.

I appreciate everyone who genuinely Loves ,Supports , & truly rooting for me.

And; Kisses To Heaven to my Bubbi !!
