Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Charnice Hale. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Charnice, so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?
Knowing my worth and value has helped me to be successful when I am the only one in the room that looks like me.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I have been surrounded by a long family history of entrepreneurs and creatives my whole life. Needless to say that the influences and encouragement of my family resonated with me and not after long I began to cultivate my gift.
That gift started as a young artist and writer, then a visual artist – which turned graphic designer, photographer, and videographer. At now the age of 33, a wife, mom of 4, and entrepreneur, C.P. Hale Innovations Estate LLC is the product of my passionate calling, hard labor, and toil. For 12+ years I have been a freelancer specializing in photography, videography, and graphic design.
From promotional and branding to stunning visuals, C.P. Hale Innovations Estate LLC has brought and continues to bring client visions to life. I understand the importance of creating designs that evoke emotion and make a lasting impact. I also understand the importance of capturing photography and video that create a distinctive and memorable presence for a brand.
It has been an honor to work with various individuals who entrust me with helping them create the representation they need through photography, videography, and graphic design. Currently, I am working on building new client relationships and on new projects for the remainder of 2023 and 2024 year.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three most impactful qualities that were the most prominent in my journey are trial and error, openness to learn, and community.
My advice for people who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve is to never stop learning. Over the long run, you will get better and more knowledgable at what you do.
To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
The most impactful thing that my parents did for me is saw my interest and allowed me to pursue my dreams. I am so grateful to have parents who saw that I was creative and my love for technology.
