Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Terrance Disman. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Terrance , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I found my purpose by seeing so many waste theirs. We all have music inside of us beating away and some of us decide to let it play out loud for the world to hear and others are scared to show the world. I decided to not be scared, i decided to take whatever came with the decisions I made. I knew I wanted to make a change, once I found out what I was good at I went all in with it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Well my story begins in South Jersey, I created my business in Edgewater Park, NJ in a vision of being the media platform for independents in South Jersey. Cutty TV todays holds over 265k views on YouTube and has multiple independents on there. I’m passionate about people who want to chase their dreams, coming from a negative background, It was never seen for me to be where I am so I want to help other people get there. I wrote my first book “How To Become The Perfect Artist” In 2020 which I created to help artist become the best versions of themselves and fix what they might be missing. Following this release, we created one of the first independent blogs to come out of south jersey covering every creative around the country. We went on naming our blog Jersey Watch, it was important to represent jersey everywhere we went. It also gives New Jersey something to be proud of any accomplishment we get because they know we are doing it for New Jersey. A new venture we just created is an app called Studio View creating the first platform for artist to be able to book studio time anywhere in the country directly from their phone. We created this because we know how much Artist love to be in the studio but we also know the pains of booking a studio: so overall the goal is to help more artist get into the studio and more studios to be booked up. This app is officially out now on all apple app stores.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
There are three things I tell everyone if they want to become successful in anything they do. One take opportunity as they come, if an opportunity comes up and you can take advantage of it. Go after it, don’t think about it, just go after it! You never know where that opportunity will lead you. Secondly, be consistent, don’t start something and not finish. Be all in with what your doing and do it consistently if you want to see real results. Lastly, the people you surround yourself with will dictate your future so find out your circle now and you’ll find out where your success lies in the future.
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
I feel like the biggest thing that’s helped me is that everyday is a new day, I’ve been through plenty to tell you. Focus on something new everyday, yesterday is done with so don’t spend your time trying to relive it in your mind. Just let it go, know that todays a new day you can do something new. Always know you have the power inside of you to accomplish your wildest dreams. You just have to take it day by day.
