We recently connected with Alejandro Torres and have shared our conversation below.
Alejandro, so happy to have you with us today. You are such a creative person, but have you ever head any sort of creativity block along the way? If so, can you talk to us about how you overcame or beat it?
I take time off from creating content for a couple of days. I then start to do other things I love like watching a TV/Movie. I always try to find a new food spot/museum/cool place to make content & I start getting so excited about it that my creative juices just start flowing with ideas on how I’ll be making a video out of this new experience.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m a content creator based in Los Angeles & I create videos based on my every day life. That being going out to try new restaurants, a new hiking spot or just a a quick story about a certain event/experience in my life. This is all special to me because I get to share it with other people that can relate and we can come together to discuss a common topic.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three top qualities & skills I would say have me helped me through my journey would be perseverance, creativity & discipline. Perseverance means doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. Success is never linear and won’t happen overnight. If you really want something & be successful at it, you gotta give it your all… always and repeat it the next day until you achieve your goal.
Creativity.. as someone that creates content online you always gotta reinvent your video ideas. That’s necessary not always the case, but people might get bored of seeing the same thing over and over.
Discipline because you gotta show up for yourself. No one else is going to put in the work for you.
