Meet Lisa DiDonato

We were lucky to catch up with Lisa DiDonato recently and have shared our conversation below.

Lisa, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
My purpose has always been to create things that bring other’s joy. As early as I can remember, I was planning parties, writing stories and crafting projects to foster delight in the community around me. I love researching and investigating new ideas and researching, specifically, new flavors and recipes to add to the Pikes Peak Lemonade menu. The greatest reward is an excited response on our products or a positive reaction on a visit to our storefront. It warms my heart to spread the joy to others.

As Pikes Peak Lemonade expands, our goal is to help others achieve the happiness that we have in this creative, beverage space.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
We moved to Colorado Springs to be closer to our daughters in 2012. We’d been married 30 years and have always been up for a new adventure. We sold everything we had and moved here to celebrate our new season in life. As we immersed ourselves in our new community, we decided to try something we’ve never done before and ventured into the retail beverage space. We’re in the unique position to encourage others, at any age, to not get stale or boring as you grow older, but continue to pursue your dreams and ideals. We look to the new season of franchising as a way to offer this opportunity, even easier, to others, as we’ve already forged the path.

Our passion is adoption, and have had the unique position of some personal experiences with open adoption. As we continue to grow, we will continue to support this mission, as well as adoptive parents and birth parents both financially and personally.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I think some of our personality characteristics have been impactful on our journey because we’ve worked as partners in business, and as a close knit family since 1982.

Lisa offers the unique ability to dream up crazy, creative ideas and Ches has always used his construction abilities as well as logic to make it all work. Our three daughters have supported us in our endeavors, objectionally and creatively, helping us to make dreams a reality. Our oldest daughter, Casey, is an integral partner in Pikes Peak Lemonade and is the push behind our latest growth spurt.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
After years of growing Pikes Peak Lemonade’s strengths and procedures inside of the business, we’re now at the point of wanting to share this opportunity with others! We have a very unique business structure that offers a joyful, nostalgic experience, with healthful and creative products.

We now are able to extend this to others in the way of offering franchises or operating business partners. We believe that we’ve grown our model to be easily shared with others that are looking for a chance to interact with others in a cheery environment, with healthful products, while also running a business offering the ability earn a living while having fun!
After all, it’s lemonade!

We also have mobile franchise units available for those who are looking for a innovative side hustle!
