Meet Ailin Malimowcka

We were lucky to catch up with Ailin Malimowcka recently and have shared our conversation below.

Ailin, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
Coming from Argentina, a country where the economy fluctuates so much, that’s definitely one of the reasons why it has always been easier for me to adapt to any situation. I also moved houses (and cities) every 2 years with my family when I was a kid, so that also helped me a lot.
I believe that a positive mindset cultivates a positive outlook and focus on solutions; and self-care is really important to always have a well-being state.
Reading books has also helped me a lot.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I specialize in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces for a variety of environments, such as homes, hospitality venues, and restaurants. I pay a lot of attention to the Concept Development that convey the overall design direction, including color schemes, materials, furnishings, and decor.

What’s really important for me and my biggest focus is sustainability and well-being: Incorporating eco-friendly and sustainable design practices, materials, and technologies when possible, paying special attention to circadian lighting, controlling electromagnetic fields, purified water in the installations, solar panels and more.

I really like to go beyond the design trends, working with new materials and technologies.

My biggest plus is that I do this mix between well-being and aesthetically pleasing spaces, where I always bring artistic installations and signature details.

My goal is to create interior spaces that not only reflect the client’s vision but also enhance functionality, aesthetics, and overall quality of life.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Creativity: to develop unique and innovative design concepts. Thinking outside the box helps me create visually appealing and functional spaces that stand out.

2. Experiencing novelty all the time: Traveling with my eyes. It’s really important for me to see and experience new things all the time to bring new stimulus to my mind.

3. Staying true to my inner voice: Connecting to my intuition is one of the most important lessons i’ve learned in my life.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Always love collaborating with different artists. I love creating art installations, frescos and art for my projects.
