Meet Cassandra Hurley

We were lucky to catch up with Cassandra Hurley recently and have shared our conversation below.

Cassandra , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Honestly, through other people NOT believing in me.

My great grandmother raised me & she always saw something in me,

After she passed away I lost myself for a little while & grew up with my mom & dad (MY DAD WHO ADOPTED & raised & loved me as his own)

But everyone told me I had to work a regular job or I couldn’t act or be a certain way or I’d never get anywhere in life .. so on & so fourth,

I always wanted to be a singer, songwriter & actress growing up & I just knew in my soul I was meant for something more.

At a young age I was bullied in school & got walked all over . Very depressed kid.

Then I was around 17/18 & something just sparked in me … I said “forget all these people, this is my life”

I had always been so shy but I knew I had to get out of that if people were going to know my name.

I got in a recording studio , later on started recognizing my spiritual gifts (still people told me “no” or I “wasn’t good enough”)

I had to prove to MYSELF, you never give up on YOU!!! No matter how many “NO’s” you may get!

Believe in yourself & don’t let the devil distract you! Now I’m on podcasts sharing my story & im still doing music till this day!

I started my own psychic & life coaching business…. But I never gave up… through my struggles with bipolar depression & personal life ,

I’ve ALWAYS STAYED true to myself & it hasn’t been easy but I never quit & proving not only to others but to MYSELF, that ANYTHING is possible but you got to believe in yourself, in God & know in your heart no matter what background or upbringing YOU GOT THIS , so NEVER BE AFRAID TO SHINE, even in darkness!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My first love was music, But God had other plans for me once I recognized my own spiritual gifts.

My most recent love is podcasts!
I love deep discussions that can elevate my mind & get to know other people & their perspectives. Interviews or even being interviewed is always such a pleasure!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Advice that I would give is

1. Always self confidence. (Self love – in knowing your true worth)

2. Never give up on yourself & know you can truly do anything you put your mind to,

3. Don’t listen to other peoples opinions UNLESS it’s constructive… if I would have listened sooner I could have avoided a lot of problems instead of learning the hard way in the industry.

Always listen to your intuition but if something feels negative- ignore it.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
Ahhh! I’ve been waiting for this question!!! Okay , Mr. Steve Harvey

“ACT LIKE A LADY, THINK LIKE A MAN”

I recommend this book to my friends, to my clients, to my family!

I’ve read it so many times,

& one thing that stuck with me is I ALWAYS ask my clients

What are your
