Meet Vanessa Christina

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Vanessa Christina. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Vanessa, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I found my true purpose when I actually gained a true relationship with God! Knowing God and actually experiencing God is something I had to learn, and once I truly experienced him that’s when my eyes opened and he started blessing. We as humans sometimes don’t really know how to find our purpose or even realize what our purpose is until we experience God’s presence and ask him to lead the way and show us. I found out who I really was and what God wants for my life, but know our true purpose will always be to love as Christ loves us and be like him.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Hi I’m Vanessa Christina and I am 34 years of age. I started my first business as a childcare provider before I turned 25 years old and I got my bachelors degree in education studies and graduated in 2019. I’ve had my childcare center for about 10 years now. In the mist of COVID, I decided to venture out and go to nail school and got my license as a professional nail tech, I also opened my online beauty store at the same time called VCBeauty. As of this year 2023 I decided to go for my nail instructor license. What I feel most exciting and special about what I do is that I get to  help others and make them look and feel good. I do have new plans and ideas that I’m working on to launch. I love what I do and what I’ve accomplish, sometimes it is easier just to give up because of being overwhelmed but with prayer and God, I can do all things.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back the most three qualities that were most impactful in my journey was staying humble, knowing who I am and loving others in spite of. The advice I have for others who are early in their journey is one, trust the process and don’t give up. Always gain knowledge to develop, go to workshops, different events this will allow you to push yourself. Learn from other’s mistakes.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed and everyone at some point will feel or get overwhelmed. The best this for me is to get by myself relax and pray, that’s first. Working out is a good strategy,  I also have a self care day. If you don’t take time for yourself you will get overwhelmed, stressed and your passion and focus and energy of what you’re trying to accomplish will no longer be there.
