Meet Shalon Morrow

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Shalon Morrow. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Shalon below.

Hi Shalon, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?
My self-care consists of what I tell my clients to do. Take a rest day, work out, drink more water, and know when your body is talking to you. I can’t tell other to do something and I’m not doing it. Every day I share a story to Instagram an/or Facebook. It’s usually about motivation or how we can stick together to accomplish or goals. My clients appreciate that. I have people constantly sending me messages on social, texting, or calling saying they appreciate the prep talk or the motivation, making them want to do more.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Hi, I’m Shalon from Sister2Sister Wellness Spa. My goal is to help women all over the world to regain the love for their body again through health, wellness, and noninvasive body contouring procedures. I started off wanting to do holistic healing but discover I had a passion making women feel good about the way they look. So many times we get caught up with the kids, jobs, relationships and forget about us. Now that weight has packed on, depression has set in and, we hate to look ourselves. Yes, I provide services and products but, I also help them to change their mindset, to believe the can lose weight, eat healthy, and workout without excuses. I am certified body contouring expert and instructor. I also help with ladies recover after weight loss surgery. I completed the massage so I’m very proud of that. My plan is to travel with the ladies who’s having surgery as their caregiver. A lot of time they go alone and, wait to the last minute to get find help. I’m excited about this nonprofit I want to start for young teenagers to express their feelings when moving to a new city or state. So many times, as a parent we overlook their feelings, making them feel alone.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
A few qualification that has carry me through my journey is that I start working at early age and learned that great customer service is key. Don’t be afraid to take risks, set goals, and get around people who motivate you. My advice is get you a support team, invest in mentorship, and do something you love and passionate about. It makes it so much easier.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m looking forward to collaborating with anyone in health, wellness, fitness , really one who would like to collaborate. I deal with women on a day to day basis, I want them to have all the resources they need to build a healthy and beautiful; body, but also the correct mindset to go with it. It’s not all about body image, but about how we can support each other living a better and healthy life.
