I derive my resilience from multiple sources, each playing a vital role in shaping my unyielding determination and grit. Foremost, as a mother, my children inspire me daily with their unwavering spirit and the responsibility I feel as a mother to provide them with a strong example of perseverance.
In addition, my parents have been pivotal in instilling the unwavering values of hard work and resilience. Their tireless commitment to their pursuits, coupled with their ability to rise stronger after every setback, serves as a perpetual reminder of the potency of resilience. Witnessing their relentless determination, irrespective of the challenges they face, has underscored the significance of pressing on through adversity.
Furthermore, my strong desire to not only find success but to truly excel in both my personal and professional life, is what fuels my resilience. It’s like a burning passion inside me that gives me the courage to tackle challenges head-on, to learn from each experience, and to keep growing. It’s this aspiration to not merely survive but to thrive, that reinforces my tenacity in the face of challenges.
Ultimately, my determination was determined by my family’s unwavering support and the indomitable examples set by my parents and loved ones. As I navigate the complex journey of life, their influences encourage me to persevere with grace, embracing setbacks as stepping stones toward greater accomplishments.

Absolutely, I’d be delighted to share more about myself and my journey. I’m Aaliyah (Leah) Niara, a passionate small business owner, Full Stack developer, and graphic designer with over 6+ years of experience in the field offering an array of different graphic and website design services. Even though it hasn’t been easy, It’s been an incredible ride.
What I do is more than just designing; it’s about telling stories through visuals. Gratefully, I have been able to work on over 400+ design projects in my six-year span and be one of the recipients of the Paypal Empowerment Award. Along with some of my client’s work has had the privilege of gracing the pages of renowned publications such as Vogue, Fox News45, Sheen Magazine, and more. This aspect of my career is truly special to me, as it allows me to combine creativity and communication in a way that resonates with diverse audiences.
I can remember as a teen, my fascination with both technology and design was unwavering. Technology has this ever-evolving landscape and endless possibilities. With each new year, my everlasting love for tech and being able to excel as a black woman in this field is something I pride myself on.
When I’m not immersed in the world of design, I’m a dedicated mother to my two boys. They are a constant source of inspiration, pushing me to keep pushing my personal and professional boundaries.
As for what’s on the horizon, the newest endeavor I am currently working on is my new graphic design services that I will be offering this upcoming Fall. Some of my new services will include Green Web Design, Pitch Deck Design/Development, and more.
Overall, I’m excited about continuing to evolve my craft whether it’s through upcoming events, product launches, or expanding the scope of my artistic pursuits, I’m committed to pushing the boundaries and leaving my mark as a tech girl. My journey is fueled by a deep love for creativity and a determination to excel in everything I do.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Throughout my personal journey, I have discovered three key qualities that have truly shaped my path: resilience, love for knowledge, and adaptability. Resilience has been my rock, enabling me to bounce back from setbacks, learn from failures, and maintain a positive outlook.
Being a lifelong student is something I hold close to my heart. Constantly pushing myself, embracing new knowledge, and growing as a person. Learning new things, accepting advice, and diving into research have been some of the most significant experiences on my journey.
I have learned that being adaptable and having the ability to accept change and stepping outside of my comfort zone has been a game-changer. Staying in tune with industry shifts and being open to new approaches have kept me on my toes and ready for anything.
Lastly, self-assurance is crucial. Having the confidence to say, “I’ve got this!” and truly meaning it has empowered me to embrace these qualities and overcome challenges.
In essence, it is the combination of resilience, a love of learning, adaptability, and self-assuredness that has guided my journey. These qualities have given me the strength to overcome obstacles, continue to grow, and remain open to unexpected twists and turns along the way.
