Meet Candace Jackson

We were lucky to catch up with Candace Jackson recently and have shared our conversation below.

Candace, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
Well that’s easy I got my work ethics from my mother watching her over the years working hard being the provider and teaching me what path to go do down to be the best that I can be.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a Mobile Bartender as well as a Event Planner. I started my mobile bartending company after making drinks for a friend’s house warming party a few years ago. I’ve always had a thing for mixing up drinks and making them taste even better so when my friend told me I should look into bartending because you are good at this I took it and ran with it and along with starting my mobile bartending business I became a event planner and hosting events.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The advice I have for people early in their journey is take your time, so your research and have a great support syringes place

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
Every person who runs a business I’m sure gets overwhelmed but when I get overwhelmed I take a step back, gather my thoughts, then I remember why I decided to become a business owner then refocus and sit down and work on strategies to help run a smoother business.
