Meet Toi Arnold

We were lucky to catch up with Toi Arnold recently and have shared our conversation below.

Toi, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
My optimism stems from within, it is a feeling I’ve always felt throughout my life experiences. There has been some detours and bumps in the road but I’ve always been optimistic about my future. I didn’t know then I’d be where I am now & I don’t know where I’ll be in the future. Though something within tells me it’s going to be somewhere great and doing wonderful things. Doing the things I love. Thriving with So Toi. I know exactly where I want to be and I’m confident I’ll get there since my future is already written. I know my future is bright, because of the things I’ve already accomplished and experienced.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am Toi Arnold, a 23-year-old Self Taught Fashion Designer from Cleveland, Ohio. I specialize in creating beautifully designed garments for Special Occasions, Bridal, Prom & Custom Design etc. I’ve designed and produced many 1 of 1 dresses for So Toi. Along with running all facets of my small business. My fashion business So Toi is currently in year 2 and I’m super excited to announce what’s new!!! We recently just had our FIRST EVER So Toi Bride!! Our latest Wedding Dress along with a handcrafted headpiece, was so beautifully made & designed by us. It was a sight to see as our So Toi Bride walked down the aisle in Jamaica!!! Crazy right?!?! It was amazing and a full circle moment for our brand.

We provided our bride with our new Bridal Service known as “Wedding Day Assistance” where she was assisted in getting prepared for her big day such as; getting dressed, taking photos/content, & etc. It was a really amazing experience to witness and be apart of. Special thank you to Our Bride Shirley for choosing and trusting us on her big day!! This service will be offered to future So Toi Brides, there’s more booking information on our website.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back the three qualities I feel have been very impactful are: being determined, authentic and appreciative. The best way to develop these 3 things is by staying true to yourself and your brand. When things don’t go according to plan, don’t give up just create a better plan or a solution. Lastly, be thankful for all that you’ve done, how far you’ve come & how far you’ll go. You have to be thankful for everything rather if it’s good or bad, it all plays apart in your journey.
