Meet Stephan Reese

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Stephan Reese a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephan, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
My confidence really stems from the way I was brought up. My parents went out of their way to show my brother and me that we could tackle anything we set our minds to. They used to nudge us into what felt like some pretty unfair situations back then—like juggling multiple sports teams and attending art camps. I’ll be honest, I didn’t always get why they were doing it at the time. But looking back, I see how they were molding us into well-rounded individuals.

You know, they were teaching us that some of life’s most important lessons come from those uncomfortable moments. And now, as an adult, I find myself comfortable with taking risks, trying out new things, and going after my dreams confidently. It’s all because of the solid foundation and life lessons they ingrained in us while we were growing up.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I have honed my videography skills over the course of eight years, developing a deep passion for using my lens to capture unforgettable memories and convey powerful messages. Nothing brings me greater satisfaction than bringing my clients’ imaginations to life through my craft. I work primarily with small businesses that are struggling to gain traction in online marketing. The best part of what I do is being able to hear all of the beautiful stories of why my clients started their businesses. I take all of these emotions behind the brand and form them into visual art so that viewers are more likely to cling to my client’s brand.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
As I reflect on the qualities that have truly shaped my journey, three qualities come to the forefront: strong communication skills, effective networking abilities, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on others.

When asked about the key to a successful business, I always emphasize the power of communication. In my line of work, it’s not just about understanding my clients’ needs, but also about clearly conveying how my services can meet those needs.

Networking is another crucial factor. Building a solid network is what drives success. Forming authentic relationships in everyday interactions can truly elevate a business to new heights.

Lastly, at the core of it all, I firmly believe in the principle of service. True success comes from a genuine commitment to improving the lives of others. Instead of solely chasing profits, focusing on making a positive difference naturally leads to both personal fulfillment and financial growth.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
The book that has had the most profound impact on me is Charles F. Haanel’s “The Master Key.” This read has really opened my eyes to the incredible control we can exert over our own lives. It’s all about understanding that our thoughts are the driving force behind the reality we experience. What really struck me is that every big achievement, every successful business, all of it begins as a simple idea in someone’s mind. The real game-changer is our willingness to take that idea and act on it with discipline and determination, transforming it into reality.

The book emphasizes that once we get a grip on our thoughts and start embracing a positive outlook, the world becomes this vast playground of opportunities. It’s like unlocking a door to endless possibilities. “The Master Key” teaches us that the world is what we make of it, and it all starts from within. Reading this book has been like discovering a roadmap to harnessing the potential of my thoughts and turning them into concrete achievements. It’s been a guiding light on my journey of personal development, reshaping how I approach not just success, but life itself.
