Meet CienTell

We recently connected with CienTell and have shared our conversation below.

Hi CienTell, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I found my purpose in life when i realized how I always seen myself leading by example and speaking positivity into others’ lives. I’m an advocate for having love and compassion for others so I decided to create music that celebrates love and how to not be afraid to speak the truth!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m a visual artist! I create music, write songs and I love to do photography. Lyrics and pictures tells the best stories and anyway that I can showcase my work to others through music and photos to express love and positivity, I am willing to do it!

I released a new song “Like This” which speaks about love you have for your husband, boyfriend or friend. My husband is very special to me so that song was for him. It can be heard on CienTell.Bandcamp.com!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I’m a spiritual woman and I believe that seeking wisdom from God has been impactful in my journey through life. Also having courage to accomplish my goals and having faith in God to guide my steps have played a huge part in my creative journey in life. God will lead and guide you if you ask Him to. To those who don’t know where to start in life or how to find their purpose in life, ask yourself what you are most passionate about and how can you serve others with the gift you have and that’s where your purpose lies.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?
I have been battling stage 3 breast cancer and it has been painful yet learning process. I’m grateful to be alive to tell my story because there’s millions of people who didn’t live to tell their story about battling cancer. Even as I’m healing from breast cancer, I have been able to continue the work assigned to me as an artist. Music is powerful and impactful and in however way possible that I can be a witness to God’s grace as mercy, I will demonstrate it through my walk in this journey of life.
