We were lucky to catch up with DeEtta Conway recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi DeEtta , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
My purpose ,for a long time I thought it was whatever I was to people -how people defined me in their life . I was always known as the dedicated daughter ,sister & friend. I was the one everyone could depend on to show up and I did. Through many experiences of being a dependable source in those closest to me lives and even those whom I wouldn’t consider close-I learned my purpose was people . As I reflect I was able to identify my purpose clearly ;my profession ,my passions and sometimes my greatest disappointments-people. People are my purpose, matter the circumstances I want to see the best in people, I want to nurture people .I want people to always know that they are cared for ,supported and loved . My purpose is the advocacy of people .

What don’t I do ! I’m a HR professional 9-5 and all hours after I assist people in feeling good,looking good and experiencing nothing but good . I am blessed to have endured the rollercoaster ride of an entrepreneur . I have a beauty business that provides hair extensions and stylish accessories and I am a travel business owner ,I create travel experiences.
The most exciting thing is meeting people from all walks of life and with the purchase of hair or accessories to enhance their beauty ,I’ve gained many trusted and loyal clients . But although I love giving people that boost of confidence through my products ,it’s nothing like helping people experience the world through travel .
With the many things going on the most exciting is my travel agent is growing tremendously and as we have grown ,people like to see more from us and experience more . My travel business “Stranded Luxury Travel “ is now launching travel groups throughout the year providing travel experiences you can only dream about and anyone can join .
How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?
As an entrepreneur there are always challenges. One of my challenges currently is keeping my business relevant. You have to continue to be creative .continue to produce products and experiences that your supporters can’t experience elsewhere .
