We recently connected with Ben Johnson and have shared our conversation below.

Ben, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
Understanding the importance of Authenticity and how there must be value in the structure of it. I learned through my failures and hang ups in life to grind hard and produce what’s in my heart, Gracefully

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Growing up I noticed in certain platforms and arenas there was often a lack or void so I learned how to become the ram in the bush! Knowing the difference between existing and living, I made a decision that I needed to Live but authentically. Having the gift of being a Creative, I entered into my profession taking a Big leap of faith to follow what I know and believe is my dream and that’s to help others Bring their vision to fruition. As a Professional Musician, Picking up a camera and learning the craft of my MacBook Pro in the Media perspective, has really been the push that Birthed Graced Productions. Having done Hundreds of Weddings, Corporate Events, Headshot Sessions, Podcast Productions, Commercial Recordings and all, I’ve realized I’m really doing It as an Entrepreneur and Business Owner and I’m doing Well!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I’ve learned early to stop doubting because of what I couldn’t see. That’s the easiest way and ticket to defeat!

Celebrate the milestone moments where progression is there because it helps to build you value system while you are growing!

Pay attention to you and know when you need to decompress! Burning out while hustling to push the grind does not work. Be wise and budget not just your money but time also that way as you decompress it will be appreciated by you and others connected to you!

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
Wow! I believe that my biggest area has been the way I have evolved my technical ability to work smarter and not harder.

Wisdom was gained when I realized a simple term,
“Do what’s necessary in the PRE, So it’s easier in the POST”

Taking the time to arrange plan, and execute has been the big point of improvement for me to grow with my business.
