We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lucy Kull. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lucy below.
Lucy, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Confidence and self-esteem are qualities that underpin personal growth and resilience. This journey of self-assuredness is a continuous one, marked by various milestones and personal insights.
Significant boosts to my self-esteem have come from accomplishing goals, be they major or minor. In earlier years, these goals were substantial, life-altering achievements, such as completing my education, securing a dream job, and achieving independence. As I’ve matured, I’ve come to appreciate the value of smaller, more manageable goals. Everyday tasks, like redecorating a room, tending to a garden, or going for a walk, have become opportunities to celebrate achievements and bolster my self-esteem.
Throughout my journey, I have often found myself in roles that demand a high degree of independence. While collaboration with others is a part of my work, the core of my responsibilities is individual. This solitary work environment, though occasionally isolating, has taught me the importance of relying on intrinsic motivation and having faith in my abilities, even when external affirmation is absent.
Self-doubt is a universal experience. However, I have developed a unique strategy to counter this feeling. I approach situations as if they were experienced by someone else. When doubting my own capabilities, I imagine a close friend facing a similar challenge. I recognize that I believe in their ability to overcome it. This change in perspective allows me to be my own best supporter during moments of uncertainty.
Every challenge, whether deliberate or unexpected, tests my self-confidence. Instead of avoiding challenges, I deliberately seek them out to evaluate and enhance my confidence. Embracing challenges and setbacks has become a means to fortify my self-assurance.
Cultivating self-confidence and self-esteem is an ongoing journey. It entails setting and achieving objectives, embracing self-motivation, and learning to treat oneself with the same kindness and conviction that one affords to friends. Challenges and setbacks are not to be feared but welcomed as avenues for personal development. As this journey continues, I am reminded that self-confidence is a continuous process, with each stride forward bringing me closer to becoming the best version of myself.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m passionate about creating a space where people can engage, learn, and have fun together. It’s an exciting journey, and I’m thrilled to continue expanding our offerings and bringing the community closer.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my journey, three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge have been particularly influential:
1. Resilience: The ability to bounce back from setbacks and keep moving forward has been crucial. In the face of challenges and obstacles, maintaining a resilient mindset helped me persevere.
2. Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances have been essential. The capacity to adjust strategies and approaches when needed allowed me to navigate unexpected turns effectively.
3. Continuous Learning: Embracing a commitment to lifelong learning has been invaluable. Staying open to acquiring new knowledge and skills has not only enhanced my expertise but also kept me agile in a dynamic world.
For those embarking on their journey, my advice is simple:
– Cultivate Resilience: Understand that setbacks are part of the journey. Approach challenges as opportunities for growth and learning. Each obstacle you overcome will make you stronger.
– Embrace Adaptability: Be open to change and ready to pivot when circumstances require it. Flexibility allows you to remain responsive to evolving situations.
– Commit to Learning: Never stop learning. Continuously seek knowledge and skill development. Whether through formal education or self-directed learning, expanding your abilities will broaden your horizons and improve your adaptability.
Remember, the journey is a marathon, not a sprint. Stay focused, stay resilient, and stay curious about the world around you. Your journey is uniquely yours, and every step forward is a valuable part of your growth.
