We were lucky to catch up with Ankita Bhardwaj recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ankita, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
A wise teacher once told me “there is always someone somewhere on this planet who is facing more problems than you are presently but they still choose to get up in the morning and move forward so why cant you”. These words have been registered in my mind since I was 15 and they keep me optimistic because there are so many people who have been less fortunate than I have been and I dont mean less fortunate monetary wise but situationally and they never gave up no matter what so how can I give up without giving my best and knowing that I did everything I could and tried my very best. I am a person who hates having regrets or being in a position where I question myself, had I done that maybe I would be in a different situation rather I always say let me try and explore that opportunity and see what happens, the worst case scenario I will fail but atleast I will learn something new and nobody can take that experience of learning something from me!
For me every hurdle teaches you a new lesson and there is always light at the end of the tunnel, it may take you long to reach the end of the tunnel but eventually one will always reach the light.
On a lighter note I always say this fashion is the best industry which keeps you entertained at all times. You can never get bored or run out of a challenge because every day comes with a unique challenge but when you go to bed knowing that you did everything you could, its a satisfaction that lets you have a peaceful sleep and motivates you for what the next morning brings, mostly its some fresh entertainment brewing for you to enjoy!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I would say trust your instinct because it is seldom wrong but the most important quality needed to survive in this world is perseverance. There will be tons of people who will say no, who will oppose your ideas and who will put you in a difficult situation but not giving up is the best answer to these people and situations.
It only takes one YES to change the whole dynamic and in my tiny experience so far the people who say no are the best teachers you will ever have because they point out things which you did not even think were a concern in the first place, so you fix those concerns where you can and stride forward to the next opportunity.
The most important quality needed to survive in this world is perseverance and determination.
