Meet Abbey Bruggeworth

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Abbey Bruggeworth. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Abbey, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
Work ethic, in my opinion, is a learned behavior. It is a choice to work harder than you did the day prior, a choice to keep pushing forward even when there are setbacks, and a choice to make tiny steps closer to your end goal and purpose. For me, my work ethic has had its ebbs and flows as I’ve grown up. This I believe to be a natural thing and a part of figuring out your passions. I always had a rock solid example of incredible work ethic from both of parents – my dad excelling and climbing the ladder at the same company since he graduated from college and my mom for starting a business of her own as an adult. I myself have always been very driven and motivated to reach my goals, but in the last two years, that work ethic has excelled exponentially. I own my own business – me, myself, and I – and this business has lit something within me to never be complacent, to keep evolving even when it is scary, and to focus on a strong (but balanced!) work ethic and work life.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I own the creative marketing agency The All In Haus. My team and I specialize in social media management, content creation, and strategy. In an ever-changing social age, we help small to mid-sized businesses leverage customers through the digital world. We work closely with our clients to become an extension of them. Named “All In Haus” because we aim to market clients in a way that looks and feels like they have an “in-house” marketing team. We accept clients worldwide and have our main clientele based in Charlotte and Atlanta. We host consultation calls weekly for anyone interested in having their social media and marketing efforts audited free of charge!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Be okay and accepting of change. 2. Learn to delegate responsibility.
3. Say yes to opportunities.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
Not necessarily one book, but an app. Headway is an app that allows you to listen to 15-20 minute summaries of books and it has been a game changer in my world. While I’m in the car or on the treadmill I can work on my self development. Continued self development is key.

One of my favorite summaries I’ve listened to is “What the Most Successful People Do Before Breakfast.” I can attribute a lot of my success to getting up early in the morning, working out, and being the most productive before the sun comes up.
