Meet William Deloney

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful William Deloney a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

William, so great to have you with us and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with the community. So, let’s jump into something that stops so many people from going after their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. We’d love to hear about how you dealt with that and persisted on your path.
I learned not to be a quitter. I also learned that people who do not see your vision and mission as you would never believe in the journey. I keep my faith in God and the purpose that He has for my life.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am the owner and designer of my clothing brand Divine Image Apparel. The story behind the brand is I wanted people to be encouraged and have something to hold onto in of world full of uncertainty. And that is their faith!

I integrated my love for art, streetwear, and faith to create clothing that encourages and inspires people to live their dreams.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Our brand believes that we were made in the image of God. Oftentimes, people express themselves what through they wear.

Divine Image Apparel creates vibrant contemporary apparel and accessories that remind everyone to walk boldly in their faith.

The advice that I have for anyone who is at the beginning of their journey is to never give up on what they believe that they were called to do. Also, avoid nay-sayers or anyone that does not understand your dream. This world is big enough for us all to bring something new to the table.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
My wife has been by my side this whole time encouraging me to never give up. She also has inspired me by the work that she has done for her friends, family, and therapy clients.
