Meet Anna Lenis

We were lucky to catch up with Anna Lenis recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Anna with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My parents! I have learned from them! My dad always said “If you have a strong work ethic, you’re more likely to meet organizational goals and put your best foot forward every day.”

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I was born in Caracas, Venezuela! Went to law school, worked as an attorney for many years in my hometown, then I moved to the US around 20+ years ago. One day I started baking as a hobby and a passion for baking became a business! Today I own Aroma Desserts, in Lawrenceville, GA. And I built my client’s dream cake to become the showpiece of their party.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The 3 skills that have been impacted my journey are: constancy, ethics, and responsibility! Follow your dreams, even when someone said you are not good, be constant and keep going. Have good work ethics, be respectful, disciplined, and dedicated to whatever you do.
Be responsable, always show up, complete whatever you promised, and never give up , specially to yourself!

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
My husband has been supporting me since the beginning, as well as my mom. Sometimes I’m feeling low and they make sure to remind me that I have the ability to do and complete whatever I want! I can do it!
