Meet Jane Powers

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jane Powers a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Jane , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I get my resilence from my family. I am proud to be Korean American and I want my life to honor all the generations that came before me. We often forget that we have it much better than those who lived before us. I am grateful for all the opportunities and resources I have to succeed in this life.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I want to be a light in this world and show others that anything is possible if you believe.

My greatest achievement is starting a personal development podcast called Divinely Disruptive. This podcast highlights the importance of mental health and having faith (in God). No matter where you are in life, it is never too late to start dreaming again. Life is too short to settle. It’s time to create the life you love. I am now offering 1:1 virtual coaching and helping others find clarity in the next step of their life.

Life is a gift and it is a miracle to have this life.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, my ability to adapt to new environments, connect with all walks of life and capture an audience was some of the most impactful skills I had. As a Podcast Host, Content Creator and Professional Makeup Artist, it is my job to tell a story and connect with others in a intimate way. I’ve learned that life is truly a journey and we are forever evolving. One day, every experience will help shape you into the best version of you.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did for me was show me the importance of hardwork, dedication and goal setting. My parents never took a vacation because they wanted to provide the best life for me and my siblings. My parents inspired me to that putting in hardwork always pays off in the end.
