Jonathan Javier, Jerry Lee, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
Our generosity comes from previously being in our job search without any connections and trying to break into our “dream companies”. For me, I applied to hundreds of jobs, hoping for interviews from my dream companies that never happened. I thought it was because he went to a less-known school and didn’t know anyone at those big companies. Fast forward to now, I’ve worked at companies including Snap, Google, Cisco, and now Wonsulting to help millions with their job search. For Jerry, his family immigrated to the US from South Korea when he was a baby in hopes to give him and his brother a shot at the American Dream. Fast forward to college, he was the first intern at Google from his college. and that’s when he learned his passion for helping others in their careers.
After working in our corporate companies, we thought to ourselves “How can we help more people from non-traditional backgrounds land jobs in top companies?”. This is how Wonsulting and its mission were born of “turning underdogs into winners”.
We didn’t have many connections at the beginning of our careers, but through utilizing the LinkedIn and networking strategies we’ve now taught to 4.5 million followers across our social media channels, we hope that we can continue creating content to impact future generations of job-seekers.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
At Wonsulting, our core belief is that everyone, regardless of their background, should have an equal shot at breaking into their any company. This idea was born out of our personal experiences, where we faced challenges breaking into our desired industries because of non-traditional backgrounds. With the right tools, strategy, and mentorship, we made it, and now, we’re on a mission to turn the underdogs into winners.
What sets us apart is our emphasis on innovative AI-powered job search tools. Our product suite, WonsultingAI, has been designed keeping in mind the hurdles job-seekers face, especially those from unconventional backgrounds. Products like ResumAI by Wonsulting and NetworkAI by Wonsulting are not just about simplifying and automating the job search; they’re about leveling the playing field, and giving everyone a chance to stand out based on their skills and potential.
What excites us the most is the uncharted territory in AI’s role in job searching. We’re currently working on many products that solve our millions of followers’ needs. Our team is working tirelessly on expanding our AI capabilities for new and existing products in the future to solve every part of the job search.
In terms of what’s new and exciting: We recently launched our newest tool, AutoApplyAI by Wonsulting, the first of its kind which applies to jobs for you with the click of a button. This tool is designed to make the job search easier and simpler for their applications; job-seekers spend hours on end filling out applications, but why not have an AI do it for you where it’ll apply with the click of a button?
Additionally, we’re expanding our partnerships with universities and organizations globally, aiming to bring our suite of tools to more diverse audiences. We believe that the right education and tools can change lives, and we’re eager to reach as many individuals as possible.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Reflecting on our journey at Wonsulting, the following three qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge have been instrumental:
Empathy for Our Audience: Understanding the nuances and challenges faced by individuals from non-traditional backgrounds was our foundation. It’s one thing to recognize a problem, but genuinely empathizing with it and also going through similar problems previously creates passion and drive. Our advice? Always stay close to the heart of the issue you’re addressing. For those starting out, engage regularly with your target audience. Listen to their stories, their struggles, and their aspirations.
Utilize your resources and embrace technological advancements: Embracing AI and tech-driven solutions were a game-changer, but it wasn’t just about adopting technology; it was about understanding its potential and using it to benefit the greater good. For newcomers, our advice is to stay up-to-date with technological advancements in your field. Dive deep, learn, and don’t hesitate to innovate.
Adaptability & Purpose: The job market, like many sectors, is ever-changing. Our ability to pivot, adapt, and mold our solutions to the changing needs of job-seekers was crucial. For those early in their journey, cultivate a mindset of adaptability. The world changes fast. Embrace feedback, be ready to evolve, and always stay attuned to the shifting needs of your audience.
In essence, for anyone embarking on a mission-driven journey, remember that passion and purpose are your North Star; everything else will follow, as your success is as much about resilience and adaptability as it is about vision.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
B2C: 1:1 Services + Product Our ideal individual client is someone who’s proactive and committed to their career growth. They might come from a non-traditional background or face challenges in accessing top-tier job opportunities due to lack of guidance or resources. These individuals recognize the value of mentorship & networking, are willing to learn, adapt, and invest time in using our tools to better their prospects. They are not looking for quick fixes but a transformative journey that equips them with skills and strategies for the long term. In essence, they are the underdogs who have the passion and drive but need the right guidance and tools to become winners.
B2B: Products for Universities/Organizations:
The ideal client is an educational institution, startup, or organization that genuinely prioritizes the career growth of its students or members. They acknowledge the evolving job market dynamics and understand the importance of providing cutting-edge tools and resources.
