Meet Ashlee Walton

We were lucky to catch up with Ashlee Walton recently and have shared our conversation below.

Ashlee, thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.
My generosity has been instilled in me through my upbringing. My maternal grandparents are some of the most giving people you may or may not know. They both came from poor conditions here in the rural south. They grew up during segregation/integration and fought for our country. Now they are upstanding pillars in their community and find so many ways to give back. In my childhood, we would regularly go to local nursing homes, the homes of anyone who was elderly, sick and shut in, or just anyone who needed a visit. We would just take them care baskets that had food, clothes, and household items that they needed.

My mother who works in the school district often bought things that her students needed. School supplies, clothes for special events and interviews and more! Even now my family has started “The Sanders Family Ministry” where we serve free homemade hot meals, have free health seminars, and more. I personally cook in occasion and write menus for people to follow based on the health seminar. The generosity that my family has given to so many in their community is nothing short of amazing and I hope to keep that legacy going!

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am Chef Ashlee Walton and I am a classically French trained chef located in the DFW area. What’s special about me and my business is that I travel wherever my client needs. I offer private chef events, catering, meal prep and more! One unique trait my business has is NO SET MENUS!! I allow my clients to create whatever menu and ideas they want. Of course, upon request, I will write menu options as well. I will say, allowing my clients to choose what they like, keeps everything that much more fun and challenging for me! If there’s something you’re interested in, please don’t hesitate to ask. I can make it all happen!
