Meet Allie Vasquez

We were lucky to catch up with Allie Vasquez recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Allie, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
I have always been a performer. Choir, color guard, dance … anything where I could be on stage in front of people. But being on stage in front of people is easy when you can’t hear what they think. When I was a high school teacher, I got feedback on every little thing about me, from what I wore to how I said a word to critiquing every single mannerism of mine. Now I know that nothing can hurt my feelings after a room full of 40 teenagers has hurt your feelings consistently for 10 years!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Real estate and realtors can be very boring to the general public. I use my creativity in video marketing to continue to make the buying and selling process interesting, vivacious, and accessible to all demographics. I have a program where sellers can make repairs to their home before putting it on the market and pay at settlement, which allows them to focus on the next stage of their lives and saving their liquid capital for that purpose.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
My resilience has never steered me wrong. Every job and profession I have ever worked has had massive haters who told me I am awful at what I do, and yet I continue to succeed.

Creativity has also been key in allowing me to constantly find ways of doing things differently and setting me apart from the competition.

When I was 11 years old I wanted to take French so badly, and they couldn’t find a teacher. I was devastated that I had to learn Spanish. Flash forward to today, where I am fluent in Spanish and it has opened so many doors for me in every job I have had.

My recommendation is to learn one thing and learn it well. Become a master – don’t water yourself down and be mediocre across the board.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
Listening to my inner voice and doing what serves me before I help others. If I can obtain this level of success feeling like I have to do it for other people, then what can I possibly achieve when I am motivated by me and only me? The possibilities are endless!
