We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Naz De La Rosa. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Naz below.
Naz, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
My optimism really comes from a lifetime of disruptions and an understanding that I always “win”. I really go about life with a certain pronoia – knowing that nothing that is for me can miss me and that everything is always working in my favor even when it doesn’t look that way. I know this through a process I describe to my clients as gathering the evidence. I keep a file of all the times a disruption appeared in my life and the blessing that ensued. Who did I meet or what did I get to experience that I wouldn’t have if that negative experience had never happened. We always win!
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
As a Life Coach & Spiritual Mentor, I help women going through major life changes and transitions to positively navigate those changes. I love helping women see change and disruption as a natural part of life and as something that is here to help them uncover a version of themselves they will be in love with. I do this through one-on-one coaching, group coaching, and motivational speaking. I’m also the creator and host of the popular micro-episodic Third Eye Talks podcast, which is also all about motivating the spiritual woman. In April 2023, I will be launching my special spiritual membership program, which I’m really excited about. It’s like a gym membership, but for your soul!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Knowledge that I will always win in my journey, knowledge that nothing that is for me will miss me, and discipline! The first two were skills I entered my businesses with, but discipline is the one skill that I’ve learned on the journey is essential to our success. Inspiration will come and go. Desire will come and go. Excitement will come and go. That’s when discipline takes over and it’s really want wins the race for us. I know so many talented, smart and creative people who are still not experiencing the things they want simply because they act only when inspiration is available and that just can’t be the case. If you really want to embark on the greatest of your journeys, you’ve got to have discipline. And here’s a secret: you will only ever have discipline when what you’re doing is 100%, authentically YOU.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
Change, change, change! My ideal client is either experiencing change right now, is about to embark on a journey of change or is recognizing that she has a difficult relationship with change. Maybe she’s about to leave her corporate job to launch her own business or maybe she’s going through divorce or maybe considering moving to a whole new country. She’s spiritual, but maybe doesn’t know how to use her faith, energy, mindset, breathwork or how to regulate her nervous system in order to have change work for her not against her.
