Meet Heather Frierson

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Heather Frierson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Heather below.

Heather, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
Purpose is the topic I talk about most and find it’s one we all struggle with at different times throughout our lives. What I’ve seen from teaching women about purpose the past 13 years is that we actually have made purpose really complicated and mysterious.

But my personal belief is that we were all born on purpose and for a purpose and that is to point people back to Jesus and we get to do that through our gifts and talents. It’s that simple!

Whether that’s in the marketplace, at home, ministry, etc. our purpose, my purpose, is to simply point people back to back to God and through our talents and mine is teaching, eqpuiping and empowering women.

Once I understood that simple truth, finding my purpose in each season of life, is really just about changing strategies, because my purpose never changes.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m the girl that’s all about faith, fashion, family, and empowering women and have been my whole life! My journey to narrow that down to just those 4 things, though, has been strange and unusual but nonetheless, exciting as I have had the opportunity walk out my purpose by helping others discover their own.

I’m the founder of a women’s leadership ministry called Created Woman, speaker, podcast host and brand new clothing designer. But those are just the things that I do. What I am and treasure the most is being a mom, wife, Jesus’ lover, and friend and hopefully after you get to know me, we’ll be friends, too!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. My favorite quote to say is, ‘Your purpose in life will never change, but your strategy will constantly change.’ So, don’t’ be afraid to pivot in your business or leadership. The goal is what’s important, not the how.

2. Stay in your lane and then encourage, employ, or recruit others around you to do what you can’t, but they can.

3. Let go! I don’t’ have to be in control of everything! In fact, these days I don’t want to be! If someone has an idea that pushes the vision forward and can make it happen, then cheer them on!

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I absolutely LOVE to help and train women leaders! So I’m always looking for opportunities to add value to others through speaking at events or walking into corporate/business trainings. Through motivational speaking or practical tools, partnering with leaders who want to grow is my favorite and what drives me everyday.
