Meet Liza Boubari

We recently connected with Liza Boubari and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Liza, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
Through clinical hypnosis, of course. I have even given a talk on this subject. I believe imposter syndrome is an internal psychological experience of feeling like a phony, or not good enough, in certain areas of our life, despite the success we have achieved in that area.

Originally, imposter syndrome was associated with high-achieving women, but men experience it as well. Yet, due to fear of backlash or appearing weak, men are less likely to externalize these feelings. Successful businesswomen tend to suffer more, and it shows itself as a fear or constant worry of not being good enough, not being perfect enough, paralysis or stuckness, people-pleasing, and constant distraction or procrastination.

There have been days that I feel anxious and find myself experiencing self-doubt, even in areas where I typically excel. Yet, I have learned the difference between healthy nervousness and thinking I do not belong. This is where my resilience skills kick in and I remember, “I matter!” And so do you. I bring this strength and renewed focus to as many people as I can. This is my mission.

I have clients I work with in my office for one-on-one work, we have group sessions, retreats, and The 3E Event. And anyone can tune in to my TV show Heal Talk Real Talk with Liza on LizaTV. Plus corporations, clubs, organizations, and sometimes even just groups of friends hire me to speak and do workshops on my 3E method.

I enjoy speaking to groups large and small. It’s about the impact. The best way to overcome imposter syndrome as a speaker is to remember it isn’t about you – it’s about the audience and what they need to hear to take a specific action. By taking the focus off of yourself and aligning with your mission, you don’t have to worry about imposter syndrome because it’s about the message.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a conduit for healing the hidden trauma that lives inside our psyche, our subconscious mind, that is the actual entity behind every decision we make in our lives. I use my 3E Method to guide people to HealWithin, which is the name of my business, so they can make better choices in life, heal the hurt that causes them to make poor or harmful choices, so they can live more peaceful, joyful, fulfilling lives.

I am a certified clinical hypnotherapist, a certified stress and anger management counselor, a certified domestic abuse consultant, an action coach, an author, and a speaker. In addition to my HealWithin center for healing, I run HealWithin International, a 501c3 nonprofit for children whose mothers are absent from their everyday lives.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. An open mind to Evoke 2. A willing heart to Embrace
3. Permission from myself to heal so I could Evolve

If you’re early on in your journey, learn first to forgive yourself. Forgive yourself for everything. You didn’t know any better. You may still not know, but you know that whatever choices you made in your life, got you here. Some of it is good, some of it you’d like to change. Maybe you’re not as rich as you’d like to be, or as happy, or as safe or secure or you just want more. Forgive yourself for not knowing before… then get ready to embark upon a learning of yourself, your wants, your needs, your fears, your emotions, and the subconscious programming going on inside of you, guiding every decision that got you to this point in your life.

My signature 3E Method guides you to heal within – I know, because I first did it on myself and I healed my life from disease and trauma and now I do this for others. First, we Evoke. We evoke what was – the pain, trauma (emotional – mental), with an open mind, so that, you can Embrace your present (acceptance of why you are where you are and what you feel) with a willing heart, and give yourself permission to heal and Evolve to your desired outcome ―because You Matter.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
The women who like to work with me are from all walks of life, especially from the middle east – my heritage – who either were or are experiencing issues concerning:

 Violence against women and girls
 Boundaries
– Stigmas, traditions, equality, sexism, racism, career, patriarchy, the glass ceiling, right to own body
 Self-esteem, self-doubt, confidence
 Feel you are “captive in the castle”
 Suffering from trauma
 Emotional and mental health
 Postpartum depression
 Motherhood
 Body image
 Self-imposed limitations
 Depression, and high anxiety
 Money and success
 Being a leader

I tell these women, “The journey to self-discovery begins when you identify what matters most to you.”
Using my Boubari 3E Method, I guide and empower women to heal from within; especially women from the middle east whose voice may have been forgotten. The 3E Method awakens you, so that you can embrace the YOU hidden inside, and empowers you, your voice, and a mission to live in alignment with who you are and who you can be.
