We recently connected with Ernest Musik and have shared our conversation below.

Ernest , thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
My creativity stays alive through the story that I am conveying to my audience, My goal with my art is to paint a beautiful picture of overcoming various trials and tribulations in life so that so many others may have faith and hope.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Ernest Musik is a very gifted Singer-Songwriter-Musician-Producer from Cleburne Texas who found his calling in music at the tender age of six years old, What really confirmed my calling in music was my freshman year of high school when I performed in front of a crowd and received positive affirmation and feedback, Ever since that day I have been working hard on crafting my gift into perfection. I have been in numerous vocal groups in the past but in 2013 I decided to pursue being a full-fledged solo artist and rededicated my life to a higher calling to the Most High. From 2017- Nov 2021 I was signed with Renew Your Mind Records and released Two albums “From the Heart” and “One Journey To Another” But as of Dec 2021 I was led in a different direction and started my own independent label “EM.ENT”. Currently, I am working on my new project ” The Ernest Musik Experience” which is set to be released at the end of 2024 with the hopes of painting a beautiful canvas of my journey in life.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Never let anything in life distract you nor take you off course from the purpose in which you are trying to reach with your art. In the early stages of my career, I had many setbacks and individuals in my life that almost detoured me from my purpose but someone said this to me that has stuck with me to this very day, ” Not everyone is meant to go with you on your journey, Learn to cut off those loose branches that hold you down in life and always invest in your gift.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
One of my biggest areas of growth within the past twelve months of my life has been the area of “Consistency”, Being consistent in life opens many doors of opportunity especially when you are dedicated to your art.
