Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Giovanna Jaspid. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Giovanna, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
To me work ethic is a high level of motivation for the job I do. My “why” has been very clear and I know there are certain steps we must take in order to achieve our personal and professional goals. Having a strong Work ethic has been very valuable to my company, my customers and colleagues, as they all know they can count on me getting the project done and delivered. I believe my work ethic has been developing throughout my life as I have learned that I need to be able to count on people around me and in return I want them to be able to count on me. This is one of the most important attributes to building a team and in order to learn and succeed we need to be surrounded by a strong group.

I started my small business of Custom Decorative Pillows as a side job while working in architecture firms full time back in 2012. In 2016 I took a leap out of the industry to dedicate all my time to my family and to grow my own business.
We are now in 2023 and I am happy to say Jaspid Studio has grown so much and connected with many customers around the world. Our throw pillows are the final touch to make spaces elegant, beautiful and unique. We have made pillows for Hotels, Offices, Homes and Resorts. We have in our team excellent seamstress ladies (one of the my Mom) that make sure all our Custom pillows are make with the best craftsmanship.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Consistency is the main qualities to make your business work, think of “SMALL” =Seemingly, Meaningless, Actions that can be Largely Lucrative. Do this every day!! Be Responsible, if you promise to do something, do it!!
Joy is fundamental to success, make sure you are doing what you like.

I would love to collaborate with other creatives on the field. Jaspid Studio is planning on making more products like furniture, handbags, accessories and even our own fabrics. No limits!!
