We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Adrian Jstn. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Adrian below.
Adrian, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
My grandmother is the strongest woman I know. She has fought cancer three times, all while juggling the demands of being a principal at her own school, driving me to school, rehearsals, trips, tours, photoshoots – everything I needed. Her resilience is my biggest source of inspiration, and I am immeasurably grateful to have her in my life.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a true Renaissance Man, gifted in the arts of singing, acting, dancing, directing, producing, and even entrepreneurship. God has blessed me with the opportunity to pursue all the passions that ignite a strong fire within me. My musical journey has led me to perform on renowned stages, from the illustrious Carnegie Hall in New York City to the enchanting Fox Theatre in Atlanta. In addition to my artistic pursuits, I proudly serve as the CEO and Founder of Seventy7 Magazine. This magazine not only celebrates the exceptional talents of entrepreneurs, creators, and performers but also serves as a beacon of truth in an era where misinformation often prevails. This platform beautifully showcases the hidden gems of the artistic and entrepreneurial world, ensuring their rightful place in the limelight and enlightening readers with accurate knowledge about global occurrences. So Each endeavor I undertake is a testament to my unwavering dedication and unwavering passion.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
In my view, the three most pivotal qualities for success are kindness, confidence, and work ethic. While talent may grant you opportunities, its significance pales in comparison to these traits. Kindness is the glue that helps maintain relationships and cultivate a positive environment. Confidence empowers individuals to take risks, embrace challenges, and persevere in the face of adversity. And work ethic, the unwavering commitment to exceeding expectations, fuels progress towards achieving goals.
If you aspire to be successful, remember to cultivate these qualities. Surround yourself with people who support and uplift you, and reciprocate that kindness in every interaction. Cultivate the belief in yourself and your abilities, pushing through self-doubt and embracing new opportunities. Most importantly, embrace a strong work ethic, pushing the boundaries of your capabilities, and consistently challenging yourself to grow and improve.
What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
Over the past year, I have dedicated myself to a journey of self-care and personal growth, prioritizing my mental and physical well-being. I conscientiously crafted a daily workout routine, embraced prayer as a source of strength, and committed to journaling as a means of self-reflection. My focus was on ensuring that I was truly okay, both inside and out. Consequently, I am immensely proud of the progress I have made.
By being kind to myself and nurturing my own well-being, I have discovered an unexpected transformative power – the ability to extend kindness and compassion to others. In the past, I regretfully admit that I may have inadvertently projected negativity onto others due to a lack of self-care. But now, armed with a greater sense of self-awareness and emotional resilience, I approach life with a newfound understanding.
I have learned that by taking care of my own needs and addressing any inner challenges, I can better navigate the complexities of life and interactions with others. This has enabled me to break free from negative patterns and develop a more positive and empathetic approach to my relationships.
