Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Taylor Olson . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Taylor , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I believe I get my work ethic from my dad. He did whatever he needed to do to be successful and take care of his family. And watching him as an entrepreneur growing up, I think that really molded me into who I am today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I started my career in Denver as a makeup artist in 2019, and quickly expanded my brand to a full team of hair and makeup artists at Olson Bridal Co. I love it! I love working with talented artists to make brides feel their absolute best on their big day. We pride ourselves on more of natural glam that enhances someone’s natural beauty, and I think that sets us apart from other vendors in certain ways!
We are growing every day and I couldn’t be more thankful for my girls who have stuck by me each year/wedding season.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Knowledge is ever changing, so learning to mold yourself and adapt to change was something I learned and will forever hold on to.
I always saying continually learning year after year. Take continuing education from other artists you admire. Maybe you get the same end result but the way they do it is easier. Once you set your pride aside, except criticism and open your mind to new opportunities you world will forever change.
What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
Opening my mind to change and adapting to new situations as they arise. Learning that when you set your mind to something you can do anything. Putting goals in place for separate parts of my business rather than having one large goal.
