Hi Cedisha , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
Having a strong work ethic is an admirable trait that can lead to success in various aspects of life. It is not uncommon for me to have learned this trait from my parents, who serve as role models and provide guidance throughout my years. Parents who possess a strong work ethic often instill the importance of hard work, dedication, and perseverance for my sister and I. They may have taught us to prioritize responsibilities and to work diligently to achieve their goals. Observing them as parents’ work habits and the positive outcomes that come from their efforts can motivate me too emulate similar behavior.
In addition to teaching the value of hard work, my parents with a strong work ethic may also instill important life skills such as time-management, organization, and discipline. These skills can prove invaluable in both personal and professional settings, helping me to achieve success in my careers and personal lives.
Overall, the influence of my parents on as a child work ethic can be a powerful one. By setting a positive example and providing guidance, my parents did help me to develop the skills and mindset necessary to reach my full potential.

My name is Cedisha. I am a Licensed Esthetician/Lash Artist. I graduated from Esthetician School August 2021 from Durham Tech Community College. I have been Certified as a Lash Artist for nearly 3 years in May. Over the years I have taken about 10 plus trainings in eye lash extension courses.From styling, eye shaping , placement , retention etc . I like to stay on top of trends and get better at my craft.I have traveled to places such as Texas , Florida , and Maryland to train with the best of the best trainers in the lash industry.With that being said I have become one of the most trusted lash artist in the Triangle area. I wouldn’t call myself a lash tech more along the lines of a lash professional / lash stylist. I take my business and craft extremely serious . Focusing on styling each clients lash set to allow their natural features to be enhanced with eyelash extensions. While also factoring the health of the clients natural lashes. I strive to set a standard along the lash industry in my area and I will continue to do so.I have lash trainings coming soon ! For those who are looking to join this amazing industry. Classes will be opening on Nov 25 th, 2023 !
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
As a business owner, there are several qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge that can be impactful. However, in my experience, the following three stand out as the most significant: Adaptability: As a business owner, you must be able to adapt to changes in the market, industry, or economy. Being adaptable means being able to pivot your business strategy to suit changing circumstances. This quality is especially important in today’s fast-paced business world, where new technologies and trends can emerge overnight.
Financial management: As a business owner, you need to have a good understanding of financial management. This includes budgeting, forecasting, managing cash flow, and understanding financial statements. Being financially savvy helps you make better decisions for your business and enables you to identify potential problems before they become serious.
Communication: Effective communication is a must for any business owner. You need to be able to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Good communication skills can help you build strong relationships, resolve conflicts, and create a positive work environment. It’s also important to be able to communicate your vision and goals for your business with clarity and confidence.
Overall, being adaptable, financially savvy, and an effective communicator are three of the most impactful qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that can help you succeed as a business owner.
Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
The most impactful thing that my hard working parents did was show their children the value of hard work and perseverance. When I was a child seeing my parents working hard to provide for my siblings and I , it instills a strong work ethic and determination in them that can last a lifetime. My Parents can emphasize the importance of taking pride in one’s work, setting goals and working relentlessly towards them. Additionally ,My parents can model the behavior they desire in their children by showing us how to balance work and life, and how to prioritize what is truly important. By being a positive role model for us as children and demonstrating the benefits of hard work, parents can help set us children up for success in all aspects of life
