We were lucky to catch up with Alexander Hollingsworth recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexander, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My work ethic comes from my humble beginnings, where I had less but always wanted more. These early experiences have shaped me into someone who is driven and determined. I’ve learned that starting with limited resources and aiming for greater success requires hard work, resilience, and a never-give-up attitude. It’s a constant reminder of where I began and where I want to go, keeping me focused, persistent, and committed to putting in the effort needed to achieve my goals and aspirations.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
As the owner and curator of “The Collextion,” my passion lies in meticulously curating a collection that epitomizes artistry while taking it to new heights of luxury.
At “The Collextion,” we go beyond the ordinary, aiming to present art in its most exceptional form. Our collection is a thoughtfully curated selection of pieces that redefine luxury through impeccable design and artful craftsmanship.
I have the privilege of collaborating with exceptionally talented artists, artisans, and designers from around the world, each of whom possesses unmatched expertise in their respective fields. Every item in our collection is a masterpiece, crafted with precision to evoke emotions, spark imagination, and inspire admiration.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Resilience: The ability to bounce back from setbacks and maintain a strong sense of determination has been crucial. It’s essential to understand that challenges and failures are part of any journey, and resilience helps in pushing through them. My advice to those early in their journey is to embrace failure as a learning opportunity and develop resilience by staying committed to your goals.
Networking and Relationships: Building meaningful connections with people who share your interests or can offer valuable guidance has been instrumental in my journey. Networking provides opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, and growth. My advice is to actively seek out networking opportunities, attend relevant events, and nurture genuine relationships with others in your field.
Continuous Learning: The willingness to adapt, grow, and acquire new knowledge or skills has been a cornerstone of my journey. The world is constantly evolving, and staying current is essential. My advice is to cultivate a thirst for learning, be open to new experiences, and invest in ongoing education, whether through formal courses, workshops, or self-directed study.
For those early in their journey, my overarching advice is to embrace resilience, foster meaningful relationships, and prioritize continuous learning. These qualities and skills will not only help you navigate the challenges you encounter but also lead to personal and professional growth, ultimately propelling you forward on your journey towards success..
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I’m always open to collaboration with individuals or organizations who share a passion for art and luxury. Whether you’re an artist, designer, artisan, or someone with a unique perspective, I’m interested in exploring potential collaborations.
