We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Dulce Luna a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Dulce, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I celebrate two birthdays; one celebration is when I came to this life, and the second is when I discover my purpose in life. How did I find my purpose? It has been a personal talk with myself, asking me questions such as: What makes me happy? What is my gift to life? What is my deepest desire? What do I want in life? What are my talents? How can I learn more about myself? How can I share this with others?
It has been a daily work with myself, and I continue to do it because I never finish learning about it.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My name is Dulce Luna. I am a licensed massage therapist (LMT) by profession. I own Dulce Luna Massage And Wellness, a place created to give peace, comfort, relaxation, and a connection with the inner self. I chose to be an LMT because it was a way to accomplish my passion and life purpose.
Through my work, I can improve many people’s lives in considerable manners, such as physically, mentally, emotionally, and energetically, and inspire them to wish for a better life.
I have a bizarre power or gift that allows me to connect spiritually with people. This connection permits me to understand what affects them in a minute. I am blessed to see daily miracles in my practice with each customer. I am growing in my abilities; now, I can do sessions at a distance by cellphone. Is it not amazing?
My foremost satisfaction is when I accomplish my client’s satisfaction and exceed their expectations.
I am blessed to be who I am and can improve people’s lives!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
My customers are my teachers. My journey has been full of exciting people who have been guiding me. I discovered the purpose of my existence is to serve people and help them to improve their health. I have a distinctive talent, but I cannot expect everyone to understand that.
That is why I get to work to learn everything that can help me scientifically explain to my skeptical clients what they will experience and not scare them.
I am very professional. I love to work with integrity and honesty. I am proud to be a trustworthy person.
Trust takes you years to build and only one mistake to destroy. I realized that no matter what you do, if you do it with love and care for others and do not betray your values in your way to achieve goals, and you are a trustworthy person, you will always be on business.
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
When you embrace the adventure of being an entrepreneur, nothing in your life will be the same. Everything changes constantly; you are under constant pressure to immediately decide to resolve problems. Zero guarantees that you will have a successful adventure. Some days are better than others, not because you are an entrepreneur; you have all the world’s money to spend on anything. You always check the cash flow, sales, and expenses, causing considerable stress and tension.
Being overwhelmed is coming because you are overthinking about something you fear. Lost the fear, and everything gets better.
I suggest writing the worst-case scenario and what will happen if you fail. It is amazing how fear and worry disappear. Now, instead of focusing on the worst, that is not too bad; you will focus on what you must do to avoid the worst.
It takes time to put everything on paper, but it is amazing how it works to release tension and anxiety.
