Meet Silent Fox

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Silent Fox. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Silent, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
As an artist I think it is key to develop confidence and self-esteem in yourself. To be able to share your art to your community requires faith that the feedback you receive is what you want to hear. For moments when you hear criticism and unexpected feedback on your work; you have to find ways to navigate the experience without jeopardizing your confidence. I believe in faking it until you make it or faking the confidence until you believe it within yourself. Confidence and self-esteem is builded within and takes time to recognize your strength and weakness because this allows you to work on being the person you want to be. Question what you believe and why; question how that affects me and what I want to feel about myself. Confidence is something that everyone has but maybe had to see when you’re listening to everyone around you and not following who you are or who you want to become. Over time I realized all the amazing things I was capable of and also things I want to work on. Anytime I feel not as confident I figure out what I want to change within myself to fix that. It is an everyday practice and some days are better than others.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking Back, so many were so many qualities, skills and areas of knowledge that were very impactful in my journey. I feel a good quality to nourish is the ability not to give up and keep pushing forward even when you don’t know what will happen. In my career I’ve recently had many nos and thoughts about my abilities but that made me work hard to try to even better the following time. A great skill to have is the ability to challenge yourself and find the path that is right for you. Look at what you want to do in life and take as many paths as you need to in order to continue your journey. With everything constantly moving forward don’t forget to embrace change and go with the flow; you never know what will happen.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?
One challenge that I face as an artist is feeling like I’m not doing enough. Questioning if I am enough, What should I be doing, Who am I as an artist and should people support my art? If you are questioning yourself, don’t forget to have conversations with yourself. Get to know yourself and what you want. Anytime I feel overwhelmed and I begin to question myself; I take it as a sign to take a moment and reflect. This helps me resolve and overcome most if not all challenges I’ve faced in the past.
