Meet Bri Coelho

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Bri Coelho. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Bri below.

Bri, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
Purpose was something that I struggled with when I was younger. I didn’t listen to what my soul was saying I listened to what others were telling me. I listened to what others said I should do and be like. I listened so much to others that I became someone who I wasn’t, I became depressed and lost. After finally having enough of it, I took time for myself and realized I needed to do what makes me happy then in turn I will be personally more fulfilled. I had to let go of what others had planned for e and do what I wanted. And yes it made some people upset with me but I knew from high school I wanted to go to culinary school even when I was told no. Fast forward, I enrolled in culinary school after graduating college with two bachelor degrees. Starting school over again as an adult was tough at first but I began to love my days at school. I loved cooking and I loved being around other who loved cooking as much as I did. I was that step that I took for me, but little did I know it was taking me one step closer to my purpose. I knew I loved cooking but when I found out how food is so much more than cooking and eating. Food is medicine, its memories, its love, is comforting, it’s healing. It’s all these things that made me want to connect with my food even more. So I set out to hunt and grow as much as my food as possible. Since then its been my purpose to get people to slow down, reconnect with their food, eat real food, and enjoy the whole process, not just the eating part.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a professional Chef, Author, and Television host. I have a series called Wilderness to Table, on Amazon Prime, Tubi, Vudu, Carbon TV, and more. I have authored two books, The Complete Wildgame Cookbook & The East Version Cookbook. If you head to my website you will find my lifestyle blog where I showcase delicious recipes, gardening tips, self harvesting, and more. I like to show people how they can create chef inspired meals easily in their own home. As for events, if you are interested in diving deep into the Wilderness to Table Lifestyle, I will be holding women’s events starting in 2024. You can sign up for these events on my website via my newsletter titled “The Menu”. I will also be launching a food product line that will be hitting store by end of this year, which will be available in grocery stores nation wide.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Determination, Strong Will, and Willingness are three things that I would say have been the most impactful. Without determination I wouldn’t be where I am today, and sometimes you need to have ultra strong will when faced with adversity. And you must be willing to try new things without fear!

My advice for those just starting on their journey is to hone in on what your passion is. Make a dang good plan on how you want to achieve it, then have determination, strong will, and willingness to get your there. Your reward is only determined by how hard you work, so work hard, especially when your working for yourself!

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I believe in helping others and I am always interested in collaborating with others who are like minded. I love outdoor foodies who are passionate about where their food comes from, so if you would like to collaborate head to my website www.bricoelho.com and fill out the contact form.
