Meet Kelsey Krebs

We were lucky to catch up with Kelsey Krebs recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Kelsey, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I found my purpose in planning my own wedding. I have been in 13 weddings as a bridesmaid or maid of honor and loved planning every minute of my wedding. I’ve always heard horror stories about how stressful planning a wedding was and I planned my whole wedding in 2 months and was like, what is everyone talking about? That was so easy! After my wedding, I was supposed to start a nurse practitioner program and on my honeymoon, I decided to drop out of my program to pursue wedding planning. Fast forward, and I now own my wedding planning company and absolutely love what I do!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Hi! I’m Kelsey Krebs the Owner/Lead Planner of Est. With Love Wedding Planning. We are a premier event planning company that specializes in coordinating and executing flawless intimate events, extravagant weddings, and unforgettable destination weddings in SW and Central Florida. We are a boutique-style planning company that prides itself on exceptional customer service. We have recently expanded our team adding a new coordinator and assistant. We are currently working on some new service offerings that will be offered in late fall/early spring.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
What impacted my journey the most was that I worked several jobs in the service industry before starting my business. It helped me learn how to manage customers and be a better communicator. Being a great communicator is helpful in so many aspects of life but It’s definitely helpful when going to networking events. Networking has positively impacted my business and growth as an individual so much. My advice to anyone early in their journey would be to go to networking events. They will help you get connected with your community to grow your business and help with your communication skills. I always research new trends in my industry and I’m always reading to build my knowledge whether it be in finance, marketing, or design. There’s always more you can learn, or improve on, no matter where you’re at in your journey.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?
The number one challenge I’m facing is having time to do everything. As a new business owner, you are in charge of every aspect of running a business, Sales, Marketing, Accounting, checking emails/inquiries, networking, and more. I quickly realized that to build a successful business, I would need to build a team to help with all the tasks. I decided I needed an assistant on wedding days to help make the day run more smoothly. We recently hired a new coordinator to help manage more weddings as we get busier. I’ve brought on a bookkeeper to keep track of expenses, a social media manager, and a business coach. All of these individuals helped me get to the spot I am today.
